I am now accepting new clients! Please email me to set up a time to talk if you are interested in starting therapy!
Over time the struggles we all face can feel insurmountable and close us off from our inner peace. You searching for a therapist is an excellent step towards finding this peace. I am equipped to help with the turmoil that you or someone you know may be struggling with. I want to meet you where you are in your journey and do my best to help you achieve peace.
I am a Certified Geek Therapist (What is Geek Therapy?) and specialize helping self proclaimed geeks, gamers, and nerds. Having grown up playing playing card games , going to card shops every Saturday, having friends over and playing video games until the wee hours of the morning, JRPGs, different flash games, DND, anime, and manga, I consider myself a gamer and a nerd.
If you are struggling with: anxiety, daily stressors, depression, social anxiety, living with ADHD, wanting to find your tribe, or your relationship with technology, we’d be a good fit!
If you want a therapist who won’t judge you for what you like to watch or the different hobbies that bring you joy, you’ve found the right therapist. In our time together, we will focus on what you want to change in your life and keep what is important to you. In our journey of finding what a meaningful life looks like for you, we will look at your values and the different blocks that come up that keep you from living that life.
With having made so many close friends from those communities, I noticed that sometimes it can be hard to be understood by people outside of them. For example, what you like so much about playing support in League of Legends, or who do you ship in whichever story. It can be difficult to find someone who understands these little nuances and cultures. Having been in these communities, I want to offer mental health to other self identifying gamers and nerds! There’s so much we can pull from the video games and stories we read that I want to connect with you and get you to where you want to be. Changing what you want to change in your life, and keeping what you want to keep!
For those searching for therapy for someone else and your loved one may be resistant to therapy, in my experience, therapy has been more effective when working with someone who would like change. If you think I would be a good fit for your loved one, it would be more productive to support you with helping them. I also support loved ones of gamers, geeks, and nerds in understanding them and how to relate to them in a more effective and loving way.
